This is a beautiful reticulated silver pendant with 23.5k gold foil added by a Korean technique called Keum Boo.

Firstly to reticulate the pendant, I have heated it up to almost melting point, then cooled and cleaned it. I have repeated this process a further nine times. This results in the unique texture visible, this occurs as the copper content of the silver is burnt off, leaving a fine silver layer. I have then used the Keum Boo technique to burnish 23.5k (don't ask me why it's not 24k!) gold foil onto the pendant.

The pendant is 35mm by 8mm. The chain is approximately 18" long.

Due to the nature of reticulation no two pieces will ever be the same, which I really like!

All my jewellery is solid silver and I am registered at the Birmingham Assay office.

Silver items weighing less than 7.78g do not legally require hallmarking.
